Accountability is very important not only in the new Christian’s life but even for the most seasoned of the followers. I know from experience that keeping things locked inside will drive a wedge between you and the Holy Spirit. Besides…when your life is filled with secret sin, where is there room to be filled with the Holy Spirit? I generally have that accountability while I’m in Hampton but 5 days a week I’m not in Hampton for about 8 hours. Because I have started to let Jesus shine through me at school I now have accountability here. People will take notice and most of the time you won’t know. Today as I was stressing and complaining about school a girl in my class (who may or may not read this? I think she does…) asked me how I was emulating Jesus by complaining and being mean? WOW…I didn’t take it as judgement, I took it as accountability. She may not have meant it to be but it helps. Thanks Lauren…
